Garment

Medium-length grey Donegal scarf.

The scarf is made from grey Donegal yarn, sourced from a mill in County Donegal in Ireland. Spun to centuries-old exactitudes, it is 95% merino wool and 5% cashmere: exceedingly soft and skin-friendly stuff. Characteristic of Donegal yarn, it has flecks of coloured yarn running through it: white, dark grey, and the occasional brown, in this case.

The scarf has been knitted by a family-run firm in Nottinghamshire, which has been knitting scarves and much else since the 1970s.
