Button-up woollen cardigan, with hidden placket and large hip-height patch pockets.
Production run: Eight.
Materials
The cardigan is made from Donegal yarn. It’s thick and exceedingly soft stuff, made of 95% merino wool and 5% cashmere, and is spun by a mill in County Donegal in Ireland. It has a mid-grey base, with white, dark grey, and occasionally brown flecks running through it.
The buttons, which sit on a concealed grosgrain placket, are made from real horn. They are dark matte tortoiseshell in colour, and are made at a 150-year old factory in the Midlands.
Make and finish
The cardigan is made by a family-run firm near Nottingham, which has been knitting cardigans and other things since the mid-70s.
