Meanwhile, on the banks of the Moray Firth, there is weaving afoot, on a loom built in the early 19th century, and disassembled and reassembled many times since. It resides with other well-restored and conditioned contraptions of comparable vintage in a repurposed boat-shed of just the right size, and operated by a weaver whose prowess has taken her almost as far around the globe as the distance covered every year pedalling that loom.
